Your Walnut Street may have a different name, but every one of us has a place we call home.

Book clubs are more than reading a book. They’re about sharing stories, exploring different perspectives, and finding the moments that connect us.

Walnut Street is a memoir about family, love, loss, and the memories that stay with us long after the moment itself has passed.

To help guide these shared experiences, the book includes discussion questions. These are designed not only to open up conversations about the memoir itself, but also to invite readers to reflect on their own lives––the homes where they grew up, and their relationships with parents, siblings and loved ones who remain a core part of who they are today.

My hope is that readers will find a connection between their own unique stories and mine.

While every family structure is different, many of us share the same feelings of love, loss and laughter, and longing for places and people who made us who we are.

Each of us have our own “Walnut Street”––a specific place, a home, and a collection of personal memories that continue to help us grow. It may be called Grand Street, Main Street, 62nd Street, or any other street that holds your past. We each have that one place where we grew up, a home that anchors our memories, and keeps our stories alive.
